So of course, I checked out this article. Intrigued, I read the source material in Psychology Today. Then, I did a quick review of Kanazawa’s fundamental hypothesis to make sure this shit wasn’t some sort of joke.
Here’s the fucked up thing. He’s only accidentally right. There’s some merit to the underlying theory, but that really doesn’t matter. The dude makes a flimsy argument based on weak evidence and questionable data. It’s shitty science, and the only way I know that is because I’m a smart person who does drugs.
new summer & spring clothes + shoes (how materialistic, right?)
a cool breeze throughout the house
more energy, especially today
a significant other
need less of:
stress, worries, and the constant stream of bad thoughts
school- summer, hurry up
foods that aren’t raw
see how the first list is longer? damn, isn’t it shitty how life works sometimes. always needing things, things, things. usually i try to stray far away from being materialistic and constantly wanting but i guess it’s just second nature. well, things need to start picking up again. everything is so dull and boring and lifeless it seems. this spring can’t even compare to last. hopefully things will get better in time for summer.
